ASTRONOMER AT THE ROOF

Maybe it sounds funny if you heard that my comfort place is our roof. Yeah its on our roof ! I love staying on our roof especially if I´m alone. I love to look up on the sky every afternoon ´till night and have a day dream. Dreaming that I was traveling at the space and seeing the planets, their moons, stars, other galaxies and the rest of celestial bodies there. Everytime I looks up in the sky, I been amazed how good is the creation of our Almighty. How he arranged everything perfectly. Since being an astronomer is my huge dream in life, that´s why I really enjoys what I´m doing there. It gives me a relaxing feeling and my stress vanishes. If I´m having a problem, I simply went on our roof and letting my tears to fall

and let the cold air dries it. I also love to have a phone call with my friends who was also on their roof and we were both talking about stars. We are playing star gazing and thinking how we are going to catch or to get a star. That´s our impossible dream but we are still hoping that someday its about to happen. Through that game, I feel that I was at the universe watching everything especially the planet Earth.

Potato Chips, that is the happy food for me. If I am on our roof, I also with my potato chips and any frozen drinks. Those simple things give happiness and comforts me. I know it sounds so weird but sorry not sorry that´s the way I live. This is me, a simple astronomer in the roof.

REFLECTION # 4

The effects of technology in the aspect of Gaming, Intellectual Rights, Advertisement, Propaganda and many more. As an educator, it is a must to know those thing were being affected by the technology. Especially now that the technology was having a big involvement in the field of education. The teaching process must take easier nowadays because of technology.

The way that the learners or a person used technology has a big impact in their lives and others too. Cause some of them using technology to fool a person for their own sake. That´s why we have to be more aware on everything and to all happenings around us. And as a student, we have to use the technology as the aid on our study, don´t let technology to study for us.

STORY OF THE WEEK # 4

The story of my week was not happened here at school. It happens via simple conversation in social media. I been talking with someone I´ve met recently. Even were just chatting, her personality enlightens me. She makes me laugh everytime we were talking to each other. I forgot all the stress that I have. She gave me positive vibes and makes me her big sister. Even there was an age gap between the two of us, we´re still understands each other. Cause even she was so young if you compare to me, the maturity of her mind was commendable. I learned a lot from her such as I learned how to do all of my responsibilities as the God servant. I´m so glad because instantly I had a new friend and a little sister as well. ´Till now I can´t imagine how happy am I because of that young girl that I can call as my dear Ms. Personality.

MY DEAR ALMA MATER

I graduated from this school wherein I been experienced a lot of exciting things. Even this school was not so big like others. But I can say that the products of this school were competitive and successful. Also even it just a public school, receives a lot of awards. And this school can compete from the other school it doesn´t matter even those school are better in terms of school area. This school have students that joining different academical competition such as quiz bees, story telling, declamation, and many more. But also this school was successful in the field of sports. 

In showcasing my Alma mater, I´m gonna be real now. I don´t want to tell the positive things or all the good things. But these things are problems that being faced by the teachers and students. Number one problem is flood. If there was a heavy rain, expect that that the school will become a swimming pool because of the flood. That´s why when I was 1^st year high school, I experienced a class suspension

because our room ay napasok ng baha. The second problem, since our school is located near at the fish port so it was very obvious that it has undesirable smell but that was on our time I don´t know if until now. Last thing that gets everyone upset was the smell of dream land. I´m pretty sure that they´re experience it ´till now. Eventhough there were problems, It wasn´t hinders the students to finish their study. I´ll never forget this school and I will be forever thankful on My Dear Alma Mater Rosario National High School.

REFLEKSYON # 3

On this time, technology is very useful in the field of education. Because through the advancement of technology it is very easy for some teachers to assessed the different MI´s of their students. But some are not, especially the schools who are at the remote areas. Teachers cannot be able to use technology because some barrios are did not have supply of electricity and there´s no signal. Lacking of fund of our government can also be a factor why some are cannot be able to use technology on their teaching.

In my own perception, if the computer technology increases, the computer literacy decreases. Because users have to adjust on those changes. They didn´t master the way how it works and of course some of them did not afford it. That´s why even there were changes, they are still using the previous one. Just alwaays remember that the technology just serves as aid or support in teaching it wasn´t the solution on all of our problem.

STORY OF THE WEEK # 3

 

I considered that October 12, 2017 was my LUCKY DAY ! Because finally she noticed me. And also she talked to me. OMG ! I can´t describe how I feel on that day. The smile on my face do not vanishes because I m because I´m so happy. I can say that, THANK YOU FS ! THANK YOU FS ! But of course not only that the reason why I never forget that day. It also because I meet again my former teachers but sad to say that I haven´t meet Nanay Sol. According to some teachers, Nanay Sol was at the meeting.

 

In some instance, I never forget what happened to me last Friday. I´m so wet because it was raining while I am on my way home. I don´t have umbrella that´s why I keep on walking under the rain.I didn´t know what comes to my mind kung bakit feel na feel kong magpakabasa sa ulan. In result, all of my things were got wet especially my notes.

After all those things happened to me, I can conclude that Thursday was my lucky day while Friday was my annoying day for this week.

COOPERATIVE LEARNING WITH THE COMPUTER ( REFLECTION #3 )

Since our world are now at the advancement of technology, the field of education was also dealing with this changes. The most famous technology was the computers. Computers are commonly use on teaching-learning process especially in collaborative learning. It helps the students to become motivated, to increase their academic performance and enhances their self-esteem.

 

In collaborative learning the students are group studying. They are sharing their ideas about specific topic. A group must work as a team because if not they are cannot be able to reach their common goal. Also in collaborative learning, every member have to be fair with one another. By means of appreciating all the suggestion of the fellow members. Because rejecting one´s idea lowers the self-esteem and discourage a person.

FAVORITONG MAESTRA

 

My favorite teacher was my 3^rd year high school adviser. She is considered as the strict and terror teacher in the entire school. That´s why I feel intimidated when I found out that she was my adviser. When I met her at the orientation, honestly I´m so shaky because aside of her strong appearance to us, I also have a phobia to the teachers. When the class started, I´m so nervous to attend the class. Of course I have no choice to face my fear and attend the class. By the way she was teaching Chemistry. While she was teaching us, I conclude that the hearsay about her of being strict was true. She wanted that everyone were participated. She was calling us one by one. And she have a special skill wherein she can saw who were noisy even she was writing on the board. Then she told us that she was not an ordinary human being because she was a witch. And of course we´re just simply laugh on what she said. On that scenario I found out that she have a funny side. She always relate our topic on our daily lives. That´s why we can understand it well and her discussion was not boring. We were always attentive everytime that she was inside of the classroom. 

 

Time passes by, I know her much better an I saw her true colours. I noticed how passionate she was on teaching. I realized that she wasn´t a terror teacher, she was just a disciplinarian. She acted as our second mom. that´s why we cannot called her Ma´am instead, we called her Nanay. We all realized that she was strict because she just wanted us to finish our study and to become successful in the near future. I can say that because I witness how she exerted so much effort on inspiring , supporting and giving advices to us. Ther was a scenario wherein one of my classmates was decided to stop on studying because his parents were cannot longer support him. But she not allowing my classmate to drop out. She went to the house of my classmate and talked with his mom and nanay offered a deal.

Nanay offered that she was the one who supports the learning of my classmate. She was the one who gave the everyday allowance of him and the only thing that she have to do was to attend our everyday class and comply all the requirements needed and of course to pass all the subjects that we have. And that thing makes me more inspired to her. 

The only thing that she hated the most on her students was being absent in our class. That´s why she have phone calls to the parents every time that their son or daughters were absent. And there was my classmate who attended our class alternately. He was not attended our class because he didn´t have a bag. So nanay told him to attend the class on the next day so that he can choose what kind of bag that he wants. We thought that nanay was just kidding but we were definitely wrong because she brought three bags. Then my classmate chooses among those three and nanay told him that there´s no reason to be absent.

But nanay and I were not so close. We became close when the school year ended when I receive an award. She been talked to me and greet me that I made a great job she also told me that I have to prepare for the next school year. She told me that I have to become one of the awardee next year. Even I am already 4^th year high school she still evaluated me. Every quarter I have to show her my grades and she always told me that it was not yet enough. I still have to make it higher and higher ´till I reach the top. And I really thank God because I made it, I saw how much proud was Nanay Sol to me. And when I´m on my way going to the stage, she called me and give me two thumbs up and told me ¨ very good nak ¨. I cried when she hugged me after I received my award. Because I felt how much she was proud of me and appreciated my achievements. Greeting and appreciation of Nanay Sol was not the only thing that makes me cry but also the feeling that she was much proud of me than my mom was. Since my mom was always neglecting me, I become more attached to Nanay Sol until now. Thatś why everytime I had problems and I losing hope, I always went to her for an advice. If I am having a free time I always visited her. She makes me more inspired when she told me that we will become co-teacher for five years before she retired. It was pretty obvious that she was the reason why I want to become a teacher someday. She was not just my teacher but also she was my ¨ TEACHER NANAY ¨.

STORY OF THE WEEK # 3

 

 

The memorable thing that happened last week was when we had our activity in Genetics wherein we have to catched flies. Then my three classmates and I tried to catch flies outside of the canteen. And there´s one fly who lands at the jar, since our jars were didn´t have fly yet, kaya binugaw namin yung langaw na dumapo sa jar ng isa naming classmate. After that, we keep on laughing till we decided to transfer at S.M also called as ¨ Sa Manggahan ¨. Then the three of them were located at the same table and because they were already many there, I decided to hunt flies at the next table. At first I really got bored because there´s no fly that lands on my jar. Of course I keep on waiting while I´m singing. While waiting, I observed that the flies are attracted on very aromatic scent. That´s why I´ve decided to mash the fruits located inside of my jar and ipinunas ko sa mouth ng jar so that the flies can smell it and be attracted to it. After a few minutes, flies were went into my jar. And I have to be careful on catching them because they were so sensitive. It really needs patience and so much focus for able to you to catch the flies. And its so weird because the other students who were eating there were keep on looking to us and some of them asked us if we are graduating students because we are wearing lab gown they were thought that it was a toga.

 

It was quite difficult on catching flies because after trapping them inside of the jar, I have to trap them on a hair net and put it inside of a plastic. But when I found out the technique on catching the flies, I had an easy time to catch them. In fact, I catches 10 flies but I gave a fly to my classmate. I think we catches flies for about two hours. After that, we went to laboratory for able to us to view those flies under the microscope.

We have to identify if they are red eyed male or female. But before viewing them, we have to paralyze them first by putting them on a bin with ice. It was hard to view them on microscope because they´re got awake immediately. Because of that I decided to identify them manually through the use of my naked eyes. Then finally already have my data and of course I´m done.
